The rugged and portable Powder Monkey ANFO loader has been used in the mining industry for over fifty years.

The Airplaco Powder Monkey is the mining industry solution for loading AN-FO (Ammonium Nitrate and Fuel Oil) into horizontal or vertical bore holes.  Simplified operator controls and heavy-duty pressure vessel construction keep the Powder Monkey working efficiently in the toughest conditions. This type of machine, a pressurized pneumatic tank, is referred to as an “AN-FO loader,” “ANFO pot,” or “pressure vessel.

The Powder Monkey is designed with tank sizes ranging from 1.5 to 50 cubic feet capacities. As an example, the model PM-6 consists of a six cubic feet (.17 cubic meters) capacity tank. A unit this size holds approximately 300 pounds (136 kg) of AN-FO, stands 60” (1.52 m) high and weighs approximately 300 pounds (.17 cubic meters) when empty. The operating output of this unit on a continuous basis is approximately 3 ½ tons (3,175 kg) per hour.
